Nancy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and has been working in the social work field for 20 years. Nancy began her work as a community care worker for adults and children with special needs while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Suffolk University in Boston. After receiving her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, Nancy set out to earn her Masters of Social Work Degree at Simmons School of Social Work in Boston. During this time Nancy participated in multiple internships that developed and expanded her expertise to include clinical work with adults, couples, and families. After Nancy earned her MSW, she continued to provide clinical support as a therapist and clinical social worker to all who sought her assistance. Nancy worked for 15 years with the special needs population as well as their families. Nancy completes Clinical Team Reports for families who were seeking guardianship of their special needs children as they aged into adulthood.
Nancy takes a strengths based approach to therapeutic work with individuals, couples, children, and families. All people have an inherent emotional strength and only through building on that strength can further emotional growth occur. Nancy specializes in Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other emotional and mental health diagnosis.
Nancy lives on the South Shore. She believes that self care is an important part of each person's emotional journey. Nancy knows the importance of a good diet as well as physical movement in order to work towards a healthier emotional state. Nancy will work with individuals to incorporate an approach that examines lifestyle as well and how it can be improved to nurture emotional health
